Milestone Actual Dates in Proejct Str

Dear Members,

 

I need your comments and advise on below points related to Actual Dates for Milestone.

 

1. Milestone attached to network activity, will get actual date from Activity Confirmation. Am I correct?

 

2. If milestone attached to WBS, how milestone date will get actual date? Do we to input manually or it will be done automatically?

 

3. After Inputting actual date and done billing (in case of billing milestone), I can go back, and able to change actual date in same milestone. Is it std. behaviour or I am missing any config for same as I want to restrict the same.

 

4. In case of Activity, If activity has confirmed eg. 15th Apr 2014, milestone will get same actual date. But even same I can overwrite to any date e.g. 15 Jan 2013. System doesn't stop me of doing so. why?

 

Let me know your opinions on same to have a resolution for same.

Update was terminated while creation of Standard WBS element

Hello,

 

I am facing the issue of

"Update was terminated"

Internal session terminated with a runtime error CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_STRUCTURE

This happens when I create Standard Project with WBS element. And strange thing is this happens only for specific combination of Project Profile.

SAP Note option is available which i found but the question is if there is inconsistency in database then it should happen for all standard projects and WBS elements I created.

need validation in PS(workcenter) to prevent using it in any project(activities).

Dear PS gurus,

i am PS consultant , and i am using Workcenters category  (machine) , i need when a machine is defected or have a malfunction the system prevent me to confirm any activities assigned with this Workcenter or to assign it in any other project until it repaired.

so is there any standard solution or it must be enhanced.

RemOrdPlan column not displayed in Std report S_ALR_87013558

hi All,

 

I've been trying to find out a way to have 'RemOrdPlan' column displayed in Std. report S_ALR_87013558. Looks like the column is hidden Or is not being displayed at all in the report (screenshot attached). I've searched if I can find the 'Report group' so that I can regenerate the group, didn't work out either.

 

Q-1) How do I get 'RemOrdPlan' column displayed in the report?

Q-2) How can I find 'Report group' for this / any other Std. report?

 

P.S.- However, when I goto the Form used for the Report, 'RemOrdPlan' column is displayed as a Output column (see attached)

Project Forecasting BPC

Hi

We have been reviewing the forecasting options within and outside of SAP. We have high volume of projects working in integration with PS NW and massive amount of PM Work Orders directly assigned to WBS elements. (PM Orders are not linked with NW activities) 

We would like to run it at a higher level (i.e. L1 WBS) and we would like to split the cost estimations/forecasting for monthly levels. Based on these requirements, we checked couple of options including some 3rd Party products and also SAP PS Forecasting WB, and BPC. (I have reviewed this nice piece on that topic as well which is quite useful:  Architecture and functionality of extended project management tools for SAP PS )

We decided to use BPC for this purpose and would like to learn more about the issues/experiences on using BPC for Projects Forecasting. I know complexity depends on the volume, type of projects etc. But we mostly are interested in the potential areas which we need to spend more time etc.

Cost Center and Profit Center Display Dasboard

Hi Expert,

 

we need report, cost center captured at document level statistical posting value type 11, wbs element posting value 4, the filed already exists in Report. Profit Center posted with value Type 11. Now Management want to check whether captured cost center through WBS and and statistical actual value type 11. while to create FS to achieve this report.. we are unable to see the Object series from KSxxxxxx, we are using PRPS table where only PRxxxxx object display. And PRPS only provide PRxxxxxx. where Cost Center, Profit center get . how to map key field for the same to achieve we have gone through the COVP Table but Cost Center and Profit center is not there.

 

Kindly provide input for the same.

Heartiest Greetings to all PS Gurus

 

I have my SAP PS Certification Exam in 3 days and I am giving Direct Certification(Without Training). So, my scenario is as follows:

 

Gone through PLM  200, PLM 210, PLM 220, thoroughly.

I am bit worried about PLM 230. As I have not thoroughly revised and gone through it.

 

With the exam on head, I request you all to please share some insights and some power packed revision tips.

What kind of questions can I expect?

How should I proceed in these 2 days left for revision?

AVAC not being activated in S/4 HANA

Hi All,

 

Though I have maintained a AVAC activation from Budget release in my budget profile but it is not working when I am trying to release Budget in CJ32. When I do a CJBN then it gets activated in background but want to ask what may the reason that it is not working in a normal way. I am using a Status Profile where I have kept Availability Control with no influence. Can anybody share with me if they have faced similar issues before.

Settlement Profile & Allocation Structures

Hello All,

 

I have configured Profile and Structures as needed for the Split in to 50/50 PSG and GL. Now I have to test it. Can someone please guide me how i should test this.

 

User doesn't want to use it by defining settlement rule for internal orders. They want to have this profile and structures available, for them to do manual allocation as needed of some labor cost of that project to divide in to CE of PSG & GL.

Delay legend on Planning Board

Hi All,

 

Can anyone tell me in planning board, is there any graphically legend available that shows delay graphically in planning board. In MS project, there is graphical legend available for delay called 'KING', so does planning board have that kind of graphical legend.

settlement Rule CJ03 BAPI

Hi Expert,

 

I am try to get  BAPI name for WBS settlement rule  in CJ03.. finally I got the remaining details from BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO. But when I click on settlement rule for particular WBS Element  the category is PSG receiver. I didn't get the details fetch from BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO.

Delivery from Projects without Stock in CNS0

Hello Gurus,

 

I have a Scenario at ongoing implementation in my project where requirement is to create Delivery from Projects in CNS0.

 

Now the case is the Machine to be manufactured is fully configurable through variant configuration hence there is no Availability check used since machine has high lead time of 8-10 weeks.

 

Customer requires to create outbound delivery of type LP against Project before required machine stock is available in system. This is required to start logistics and shipment activities parallely when machine is under production.

 

As per my knowledge system does not allow delivery from projects without availability of stock in system.

 

Can we fulfill this requirement to create delivery from projects in CNS0 without stock availability in system.

 

Looking forward to your expert views on the same.

Account assignment missing in planned order

Hi All,

 

I have created project on which I have assigned material and release it.That material already have PP BOM and routing so after running MRP for planned order, I get planned order but within that order, account assignment category is missing so kindly tell me where I'm missing? in config or master?

Budget available in WBS but popping budget exceeded error

In a WBS, CNS41 displays budget available but when a service indent is being created it is throwing a budget exceeded error. I have checked in OPS9 the budget control is already active. I have executed CJEN and CJBN. Yet the same error persists. I have checked t-codes CJI3, CJ76, S_ALR_87013557, S_ALR_87013543 etc.

Please help.

BAdI WBS_SETTLEMENT_RULE_NEW - Point of Calling in Transaction CJ01

at first, i not very family within badi-implementation and and the wbs-components, so please give me a detailed explanation for my questions.

 

A customer uses transaction CJ01 for copying projects. But the goal is, to copy the project without settlement rules.

I want to use the BAdI WBS_SETTLEMENT_RULE_NEW / method GET_TEMPLATE.

 

My questions are:

1) In SPRO i´m only asked for wbs_settlement_rule => how can i change it to wbs_..._NEW? Do i have to do it within the implementation of get_template?

 

2) When do the transaction calls the badi wbs_..._new? so that i know, which objects of the wbs-elements are already set... and which i have to define/ copy.

Project Builder Screen issues

Hi TEAM -

I am hoping someone can help.

 

One of my users has reported an issue with her Project Builder screen in that she is unable to expand the left hand side of the screen and see all of the different sections i.e. Project Structure; Work List and Templates; Identification and View section (on the right hand side of the screen).

We are unable to click and drag the window to expand these sections and this is preventing her from using CJ20N. See attached for a screenshot of what she sees when she accesses CJ20N.

 

She has all the required security access to CJ20N and she has confirmed that the problem persists if she logs on with her credentials to another users machine but if another user logs in to hers, they do not have the issue.

 

Has anyone seen this issue before? I have researched OSS notes and the forum but cannot see anything similar as yet.

 

Appreciate any insight anyone might have on this.

Standard SD Order with account assignment is a WBS element status "Not cleared"

Hi everyone, i have an issue while trying to use a Sandard sales order assigned to a WBS element, our process goes like this:

 

1. We create milestones for a project indicating the planned dates for income.

2. We create a Standard Order via VA01 with a billing plan.

3. As the diferent milestones are reached we manually create the invoice.

 

Up to this point everything works right but once all of the milestones have an invoice the status of the sales order is "being proccesed", which actions should i take to bring this status to closed?
